Haley Phillips Named Dunn-Erwin Rotary Student Of The Week
Haley Morgan Phillips has been recognized as the Dunn-Erwin Rotary Club Student of the Week. She is a senior at Triton High School and the daughter of Dana and Kim Phillips of Angier.
While at Triton she has been a member of the Big Brother Big Sister Club, Alpha Honors Club, Beta Club, Concert Band and Marching Band. She was also a member of the All County Band and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke Honors Band.
Haley has received Excellence in honors algebra II and honors English III. She also received an Outstanding Musicianship Award this year.
She has been on the varsity swim team and a lifeguard and swim instructor at Campbell University. She received the Academic All-Conference Award and Coaches Award in swimming.
Haley was a Senate page her junior year and has volunteered with the Special Olympics for the last two years. She is the recipient of the State Employees’ Credit Union People Helping People Scholarship.
After graduation, she plans to attend Appalachian State University.
