Benson Community Blood Drive Set June 1
According to the American Red Cross there is still a shorage of blood in the area, for all types especially O an B.
American Legion Banner Post 109 and its Auxiliary is sponsring a community blood drive Wednesday, June 1, from 2 to 6:30 p.m. at the American Legion Building on U.S. 301, just north of downtown Benson.
“Regular donors are stressed to keep their appointmets if at all possible and to please eat a good breakfast and lunch and to drink lots of water before and after donating,” according to local coordinators Betty Jo Young and Helen Smith.
The coordinators said those with appoinments will be notified at least 24 hours before the drive; however, there are many slots open after 3 p.m.
