Kayla Riewestahl Named Rotary Student Of The Week
Kayla Riewestahl has been recognized as the Dunn-Erwin Rotary Club Student of the Week. She is a senior at Triton High School and the daughter of Andy and Beverly Riewestahl of Coats.
While at Triton Kayla has been a member of the Interact Club, Bible Club, Juniorettes, Prom Committee, FFA, Foreign Language Honors Society, Close Up Club and Big Brother Big Sister. She attended the N.C. American Legion Auxiliary’s Tar Heel Girls State the summer before her senior year.
Kayla has received Excellence in Honors Civics and Economics and Honors Chemistry. She has played varsity softball for the last three years and was named All Conference Honorable Mention in 2015 and Academic All-Conference. She has volunteered with Operation Christmas Child and is active in her church youth group the Awanas.
In her spare time she babysits. After graduation, she plans to attend the University of North Carolina at Wilmington to pursue a degree in chemistry.
