Freedom Balloon Fest This Weekend In Fuquay-Varina
The Freedom Balloon Fest is an admission free event held to honor military veterans in a fun and memorable way. To be held on Memorial Day Weekend for four days from May 27-30, it will host different, fun and exciting events, and offers an opportunity for families and friends to have fun outdoors.
The major event of the day, of course, is the dozens of hot air balloons that will fill the sky to celebrate with more than 30 balloon pilots and teams on the ground to compete in a friendly environment.
While the major attraction might be the mass ascension of the participating balloons on Friday, attendees have the opportunity to enjoy a fun ride in their choice of hot air balloons. The Fleming Loop Park in Fuquay-Varina will be engorged with people from across the area.
Vendors displaying different artworks and crafts will also be present at the event in the Merchant Village, plus transportation will be available to downtown shops and restaurants.
