Gospel Tabernacle Women Meeting Features Fashion Show
Gospel Tabernacle women were treated to an evening of fellowship, food and fashion at 7 p.m. May 24 in the family life center. The Rev. Connie Greene, women’s ministries president, presided over the opening remarks and thanked their sponsor for the evening, Cato’s Fashions of Dunn.
The invocation was given as Alexandria Dail performed a worship dance to ”The Prayer.”
Hannah Thomas, chef for the evening, came out to announce the menu before men and youth of the church served the ladies.
Pastor Natalie Brown, wife of GT Youth Pastor the Rev. Josh Brown, spoke on the Proverbs 31 woman in a humorous, yet moving talk about how these scriptures relate to our everyday lives.
Following Pastor Brown’s sharing, a fashion show was held featuring fashions, accessories and shoes from the Dunn Cato’s store.
Models were Arlene Strickland, Eliza Thomas, Jackie Clark, MaKenzie Maynor, Dana Greene, Merian Martin, Alaina Bennington, Natasha Johnson, Danell Hillard and Linda Meads. Regina Adams was emcee of the fashion show.
While closing, Rev. Greene thanked the men’s ministries of Gospel Tabernacle, Cato’s, Chef Hannah Thomas and the youth department. She made a presentation to Sonia Caro for arranging the event with the store, and she thanked the Cato’s staff for all their help and encouragement with the event.
Women’s ministries meets on the fourth Monday of each month in the Gospel Tabernacle Cafe.
