Signing Nick Greely Wraps CU Recruiting
From CU Media Services Nick Greely, a 6-foot-7 forward from Fairmont, W.Va., has signed an athletics grant-in-aid with Campbell, men’s basketball coach Kevin McGeehan has announced. He is the sixth and last player in the incoming class.
Greely joins the Fighting Camels after earning all-state honors while leading Bridgeport High School to the West Virginia 2-A state semifinals.
Greely averaged 21.5 points, 7.6 rebounds and three blocks per game, while shooting 74 percent from the free throw line as a senior in 2015-16. He was selected Big 10 Conference player of the year and named to the All-Harrison County team.
He led Bridgeport to a 23-3 record during his final campaign and scored 35 points while hitting 15-of-21 from the floor, in a Feb. 6 win over Fairmont.
As a junior in 2014-15, Greely earned second-team all-state notice after leading Bridgeport to the state semifinal round and averaging 20 points plus nine boards per outing.
