The serial “House of Cards,” Netflix’s hit show, will be using Daily Records as props in the season-opening episode.
A company who clearances such items contacted the newspaper about using the newspaper and its logo as set dressing.
The season five show starts with an episode set in Morrisville, N.C. Within the scene a convenience store explodes and the newspapers would be scattered. Also, the set designers are going to recreate The Daily Record newspaper rack.
The show stars Kevin Spacey who plays Francis Underwood, who is the current president of the United States running for a second term.
When asked why The Daily Record was chosen, Ashley Kravitz of Cleared By Ashley Inc., said it is because it’s a local paper.
