Dixie Majors (12-And-Under) State Baseball Tournament In Kenansville

Whiteville edged Dunn 14-12 on Monday night as the local team came back from an 8-1 deficit.
Each team had 13 hits and three home runs. Whiteville played errorless defense while Dunn committed three miscues.
“The errors were the difference,” said Travis Barefoot, Dunn coach.
Colin Avery, Biz Ortiz and Nate Smith had home runs.
Josh Jackson, Grant Barefoot, Avery, Smith and Trey Gregory had two hits each.
Carson Barefoot, Ortiz, Caden Wilson and Jonathan Cooper each had one hit for Dunn.
The local All-Stars met West Robeson National in an elimination game Tuesday that had not ended at press time.
