Robert A. ‘Bobby’ Godwin, 56
Robert Alan “Bobby” Godwin, 56, of 111 Williams Road, Coats, died Monday, June 6, 2016, at Betsy Johnson Hospital, Dunn.
He was born Sept. 8, 1959, in Harnett County to Patricia Flowers Godwin and the late Rex Alan Godwin. He was also preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Jennifer Ellis Wood. Mr. Godwin worked for John Deere and was a member of Prospect FWB Church, Dunn.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel, Coats. Burial will follow at Harnett Devotional Gardens, Dunn.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife of 27 years, Deborah Ballard Godwin; grandchildren, Billy Wood Jr., Cherokee Marie Wood and Dalton Griffen Wood, all of Greenville; and brothers-in-law, Don Ballard of Angier and Wayne Ballard of Lillington.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home and other times at the home.
Flowers are welcome, however, memorials may be made to Prospect FWB Church, 873 Prospect Church Road, Dunn, NC 28334.
