Peggy Alease Bennett Jarrell, 86, of Lillington died Monday, July 18, 2016, at Central Harnett Hospital.
She was born May 16, 1930, in Harnett County to the late J.G. and Lula Bennett. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Lloyd Jarrell; and 13 siblings. Mrs. Jarrell was a member of Overhills Community Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and traveling.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home with Lenny Logan officiating. Burial will follow in Harnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
Survivors include a son, Tommy Jarrell and wife Linda; daughters, Peggy Ann Jarrell Garner and husband Larry, Brenda Jarrell Atkins and husband Donnie; a sister, Magdalene Wood; a brother, Nelson Bennett and wife Betty; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
