Jonathan Eden Johnson, 53 of Broadway died Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Universal Health Care in Lillington.
He was born in Wake County, son of the late Rev. Clyde Lambeth Johnson and Nancy Maybelle Campbell Johnson. He was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Johnson. He was a member of Broadway Baptist Church and was an avid UNC fan.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Broadway Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Pittman, the Rev. Ken Dowdy and the Rev. C. Paul Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Broadway Town Cemetery.
Survivors include his sister, Nancy Johnson of Broadway; brother, Michael Johnson of Sanford; sister-in-law, Donna Johnson of Broadway; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Smith Funeral Home in Broadway and other times at the home of Nancy Johnson, 203 Crystal Drive, Broadway, NC 27505.
